Day-by-Day Itinerary
After breakfast in Arusha, your safari begins with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. Famous for ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and large elephant herds, Tarangire provides an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s wilderness. Enjoy a game drive through the park while searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and a wide variety of bird species. Your professional safari guide will share fascinating information about the park’s ecosystem and wildlife. After exploring Tarangire, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Karatu Villas Lodge.

When is the best time to safari in Tanzania?+
June to October is the classic dry season with excellent game viewing. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. The Mara River crossings peak July–September.
