Your safari begins after breakfast in Arusha as you depart towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. Known for its ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and impressive elephant populations, Tarangire offers an incredible introduction to Tanzania’s wilderness. Enjoy a game drive through the park searching for large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and diverse bird species. When is the best time to safari in Tanzania?+
June to October is the classic dry season with excellent game viewing. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. The Mara River crossings peak July–September.
