Day-by-Day Itinerary

After an early breakfast in Arusha, depart for Marangu Gate (1,860m), the entrance point to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. The scenic 2–3 hour drive passes through beautiful countryside, coffee plantations, and local villages located along the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, complete registration and permit procedures while your professional mountain guide provides a full safety briefing and introduction to the trek. Begin your climb through the lush montane rainforest, a beautiful ecosystem filled with unique vegetation, bird species, and possible sightings of black-and-white colobus monkeys and blue monkeys. The trail gradually ascends through the forest before reaching Mandara Hut (2,700m) after approximately 3–4 hours of trekking. Relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings near Maundi Crater, and prepare for the days ahead. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a briefing from your guide before overnight accommodation at Mandara Hut.
