Day-by-Day Itinerary

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha. After meeting your mountain crew, you will drive through scenic landscapes to Londorosi Gate where registration and park formalities are completed. Continue to the Lemosho trailhead and begin your trek through the beautiful montane rainforest. The trail offers incredible scenery, birdlife, and possible sightings of black-and-white colobus monkeys. After approximately 6 kilometers of trekking, arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,750m), where your team will prepare dinner and your first overnight mountain experience.

When is the best time to safari in Tanzania?+

June to October is the classic dry season with excellent game viewing. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. The Mara River crossings peak July–September.
