Day-by-Day Itinerary

After breakfast in Arusha, your Beyond the World Safaris professional driver-guide will welcome you and begin your safari journey toward Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and large elephant populations, Tarangire offers an incredible introduction to Tanzania's wildlife. Enjoy a game drive through the park while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. After exploring the park, continue toward Karatu where you will check in at Ikumbi Lodge for dinner and overnight.

When is the best time to safari in Tanzania?+

June to October is the classic dry season with excellent game viewing. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. The Mara River crossings peak July–September.
