Day-by-Day Itinerary

After breakfast in Arusha, meet your Beyond the World Safaris professional driver-guide and begin your safari adventure toward Tarangire National Park. Famous for its ancient baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and impressive elephant herds, Tarangire offers a spectacular introduction to Tanzania's wildlife. Enjoy a scenic game drive through the park's diverse landscapes while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife exploration. Later, depart Tarangire and drive to Karatu for check-in, dinner, and overnight at Ikumbi Lodge.

When is the best time to safari in Tanzania?+

June to October is the classic dry season with excellent game viewing. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. The Mara River crossings peak July–September.
