Day-by-Day Itinerary

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, meet your Beyond the World Safaris professional safari guide and depart for Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its giant baobab trees, seasonal wetlands, and one of East Africa's largest elephant populations, Tarangire offers exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the year. Enjoy a rewarding game drive while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, and numerous bird species. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife exploration along the Tarangire River. Later, drive to Karatu where you will check in at Marera Valley Lodge for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

When is the best time to safari in Tanzania?+

June to October is the classic dry season with excellent game viewing. January to March is calving season in the southern Serengeti. The Mara River crossings peak July–September.
